Shared workplaces in Napa
Napa’s shared workplaces sit downtown above shops and restaurants, inside renovated commercial buildings and in suites out in the business parks. Under one roof they mix open seating, lockable private offices, glass phone booths, bookable conference rooms and a kitchen that doubles as the social center of the floor. Members arrive at different hours, and the space has to feel just as fresh for an evening drop-in as for the eight o’clock regulars.
Napa Janitorial gives operators a nightly or early-morning clean of the entire floor, with daytime help available when the room bookings stack up. Because the space is the product members pay for, the routine puts the most time into the surfaces they notice first: the coffee bar, the restrooms, the phone booths and the desks nearest the door. Quieter corners and storage rooms are covered on a lighter rhythm, which keeps the nightly visit focused.
Open seating and hot desks
Shared desks are wiped from edge to edge wherever members have cleared them, and the shared monitors, docking stations, desk lamps and power strips get a dust and wipe. Chair arms and height levers are cleaned, since a shared chair is adjusted by many different people over a week. Under-desk areas are vacuumed, and cables are left plugged in where the operator wants them.
Reserved and dedicated desks follow the operator’s rules. Laptops, notebooks and personal items stay where members set them down, and the crew cleans the open surface around them.
Private offices and phone booths
Locked suites are cleaned on whatever access plan the community manager chooses: every night, on set days, or only for members who sign up for it. Inside, the crew empties bins, dusts sills and shelves, wipes door hardware and vacuums or mops the floor.
Phone booths and focus pods are small, yet a steady line of members uses them all day. Their glass is polished inside and out, the ledge or tabletop is wiped, the seat is cleaned and the floor is vacuumed, leaving each booth ready for a member’s next video call.
Conference rooms and event nights
Meeting rooms are reset for the next morning’s bookings. Tables are wiped, chairs pushed in, whiteboards cleaned when staff ask for it, and the speakerphone, remote and screen bezel are dusted. Glass walls and doors lose their smudges, and leftover cups and catering trays are cleared to the kitchen.
Mixers, workshops and product launches on the event calendar bring a heavier cleanup. An after-event visit returns the lounge, kitchen and restrooms to working order before members return, and in office hours, a porter on site handles the turnover between back-to-back bookings.
The kitchen and coffee bar
The coffee bar sees traffic from the first member to the last. The counters and basin get scrubbed, and the exteriors of the coffee maker, hot water tap and microwave are wiped along with the refrigerator front and handles. Mugs abandoned by the sink go into the dishwasher where there is one, and the refrigerator can be cleared out on a weekly day the operator announces to members.
Operators who would rather not shop for the kitchen can hand that job over too. Breakroom and pantry restocking keeps coffee, snacks and drinks on the shelves, and janitorial supplies cover paper towels, tissue, hand soap and liners.
Restrooms, showers and entry floors
Each visit includes a full restroom clean with disinfectant, polished mirrors and fixtures, and dispensers are refilled from our stock or from the operator’s storeroom. Where the space has a shower or a bike room for members who ride in, those are scrubbed and mopped on the same route.
Grit from the sidewalk and the parking lot ends up at the front door, so the entry mats get a nightly vacuum and the hard flooring beyond them a damp mop. Carpet tile in the open work area gets periodic hot water extraction, and over a slow weekend the kitchen’s VCT is stripped down and refinished.
Planning visits for a members’ building
Members often leave laptops and monitors at their desks overnight, so no cleaner joins the route until a background check is complete. A supervisor checks the space on quality inspections, and Napa Janitorial provides a certificate of insurance, along with proof of its bonding and workers’ compensation, for the operator’s lease file.
The visit plan comes from three things: when the space opens and closes, how many desks, offices and meeting rooms it holds, and how busy the event calendar runs. Tell us about your floor plan and member hours on the contact page, and we will lay out a nightly routine plus any daytime coverage the space needs.
A few useful answers
Common questions.
Can a coworking space open 24 hours still be cleaned at night?
Yes. The crew works through the quietest hours, starting with the kitchen and restrooms and saving vacuuming in the open seating for when the floor is nearly empty.
Do cleaners go into members' locked private offices?
Only as the community manager arranges. Offices can be cleaned every night, on set days or just for members who opt in, using the access method you choose.
Can someone keep the space tidy during the workday?
Yes. A day porter resets meeting rooms between bookings, clears the coffee bar, and checks restrooms and paper supplies while members are working.
What happens after a member event on a weeknight?
An after-event visit clears cups and catering trays, wipes the lounge and kitchen and cleans the restrooms, so the space is back in order before the morning crowd.
Who refills the coffee, snacks and drinks?
We can. Pantry restocking brings in coffee, tea, milk, snacks and drinks on a set schedule, and it runs alongside the regular cleaning visits.
